Terms of Service
Effective Date: August 17, 2026
Version 4
These terms cover booking an appointment at 559 Flawless, buying from us, holding an account on this site, and using the site itself. Please read them before you book. If you book, buy, or create an account, you are agreeing to them.
1. Who you are agreeing with
559 Flawless is a private, single-room esthetic studio at 285 W Shaw Ave, Fresno, California. In these terms, "the studio", "we", "us" and "our" mean 559 Flawless. "You" means anyone who books an appointment, buys from us, creates an account, or uses this site.
We are not a booking platform or a marketplace. We are the studio that performs the service. Every treatment described on this site is carried out by a Licensed Cosmetologist working for the studio, in our own treatment room. When you book here, your agreement is with us directly, and we are responsible for the service we give you.
2. These are esthetic services, not medical care
Facials, chemical peels, hard-wax hair removal, nail services, corrective skin treatment and skin brightening are licensed esthetic services. They are not medical treatment.
We do not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition, and nothing we say to you is medical advice. We are not a substitute for a dermatologist, physician or other licensed medical provider. If something on your skin concerns you medically, please see a doctor. For certain conditions or medications we may ask for written clearance from your physician before we treat you.
3. Your account
You need to give us accurate contact details, and to keep them current — an appointment reminder that goes to an old number is a missed appointment.
Keep your login to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and you must tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it. Do not use anyone else's account or payment method.
You must be 18 or older to hold an account. A parent or legal guardian may book for a client under 18 and must attend the appointment and sign the consent forms. Some services are for adults only — see section 8.
We may suspend or close an account that is being used to book fraudulently, to abuse staff, or in a way that breaks these terms.
4. Booking an appointment
We set the price and the length, not the booking form. What a service costs and how long it takes are held by the studio and confirmed when you book. The figure shown to you at booking is the figure we hold you to.
Appointments are scheduled in the studio's local time — Pacific time, including through daylight-saving changes. How far ahead you can book, and how close to the start time, are set by the studio and shown to you as you book.
A time is not yours until the booking is confirmed. Two people can be looking at the same slot at the same moment, and where a deposit is required the slot is not held while payment is pending. If someone confirms first, we will tell you straight away and help you find another time.
Some services require a consultation, a patch test, or completed intake and consent forms before we can treat you. If any of those are outstanding we may hold the booking until they are done, and we will tell you what is missing.
Joining the waitlist does not hold a time. It means we will contact you if one opens, and an offer we send may expire if we do not hear back.
5. Deposits, prices and payment
Some services require a deposit to book. A deposit is part of your service total, not an extra charge — it comes off the balance on the day. We only keep it in the circumstances in section 6.
Card payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. Prices are in US dollars, and sales tax is added where the law requires it. The balance is due at the appointment.
Gift cards and prepaid treatment series can be applied to a booking. See section 12.
6. Cancelling, rescheduling, running late, and no-shows
- Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, unless a longer notice
period is shown on the service itself.
- Cancelling inside that window forfeits the deposit.
- If you are more than 15 minutes late, your service may need to be shortened or
rescheduled so that the client after you is not affected. The full price still applies to a shortened service.
- A no-show — not arriving, with no notice — forfeits the deposit.
- Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may mean we ask for payment in full up front, or
stop taking online bookings from that account.
- If we cancel or reschedule, you get your deposit back in full or moved to the new
appointment, whichever you prefer. If we are running late, we will tell you as early as we can.
7. Health, honesty, and our right to decline
Before treatment we ask you to complete an intake form and to keep it current. Please be straight with us about medications (particularly retinoids, isotretinoin, antibiotics and blood thinners), pregnancy or breastfeeding, allergies, recent sun exposure, recent laser, injectables or other treatment, and any skin or medical condition affecting the area.
We may require a patch test before certain services. If we ask for one, we cannot proceed without it.
We may decline or stop a service. We will do that if there is a contraindication, if the skin is broken, sunburnt or actively infected, if you have not disclosed something that matters, or if you arrive under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This protects you as much as us. Where we decline because of something that was not disclosed to us in time, the appointment is treated as a late cancellation under section 6.
Follow the aftercare you are given. Results vary — from person to person, and with skin type, medication, hormones, sun exposure and how closely aftercare is followed. Corrective work usually takes a course of treatments. We will tell you honestly what to expect, but we cannot promise a particular result, and normal reactions such as redness, tenderness, flaking, temporary breakouts or ingrown hairs are not a failure of the service.
8. Intimate services
Brazilian and other intimate waxing, and intimate-area brightening, are ordinary licensed esthetic services and we treat them as such. In plain terms:
- You must be 18 or older. You confirm your age when you book, we record that
confirmation, and we may ask to see photo identification.
- These services require their own written consent, separate from general treatment
consent, and it is re-signed periodically — currently every 180 days — so that consent stays current rather than being given once and assumed forever.
- The scope is described to you before we begin, and you consent to that specific
scope. You may narrow it or stop the service at any point, and you do not have to give a reason.
- The service is performed privately by a Licensed Cosmetologist. You may ask that another
person be present.
- No photograph of an intimate area is taken without separate written consent, and you
can withdraw that consent at any time.
- We ask that the area is free of open skin and active infection, and that it has not been
waxed in the previous two weeks unless your cosmetologist has told you otherwise.
9. Your records, your consent, and photographs
Your intake answers, consent signatures, treatment notes, patch test results and any clinical photographs are health information. We keep them confidential. We do not sell them and we do not share them for advertising.
When you sign a consent form we keep a copy of the exact wording you agreed to, along with the version. If we later edit that form, your signed copy does not change. What you agreed to stays what you agreed to.
You can see your own record through your account. You cannot edit clinical history — notes, signed consents and patch test results are a permanent record of what happened in the room, and that is what makes them worth anything. If you believe something in your record is wrong, tell us and we will correct it properly.
Clinical photographs are stored privately, never in a public gallery, and are viewable only through short-lived private links. Each photograph requires your consent. Using a photograph publicly — on this site or on social media — requires a separate photography release, which is always optional and never a condition of treatment. You can withdraw that release at any time and we will stop using the image going forward, though we cannot recall something already printed or already shared onward by someone else.
10. Messages we send you
Appointment messages — confirmations, reminders, forms that need signing, deposit requests, waitlist offers, and changes to your booking — are part of the service. While you have an active booking or account you cannot opt out of these, because they are how the appointment works.
Marketing messages — offers, studio news, newsletters — are only sent if you have agreed to receive them, and you can stop them at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or asking us. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
11. Products
We sell professional skincare two different ways, and it matters which one you are buying:
- Stocked in the studio. You buy from us, pay through our checkout, and collect it in
the studio or receive it at your appointment. These sales are ours.
- Shipped by the brand. Most of our catalogue is fulfilled through our authorized
Rhonda Allison marketplace store. You are listed through to that store, your purchase is with them — they take the payment, set the price, and ship the order — and their terms, shipping and returns apply, not ours. We list those products here so you can find the right ones, and we are glad to tell you which they are.
Unopened, unused product bought from the studio can be returned within 14 days with proof of purchase. Opened skincare cannot be returned, for hygiene reasons, unless it is faulty or was mis-sold — in which case tell us and we will make it right. Product descriptions are not medical advice; patch test at home if you are sensitive.
12. Gift cards and prepaid series
Gift cards can be used against any service or product sold by the studio. Gift cards sold by us do not expire and carry no service or dormancy fees, as required by California law. Where a gift card balance falls below ten dollars, California law allows you to ask for that balance in cash, and we will honour that. Gift cards are not otherwise redeemable for cash, and we cannot replace one that is lost or stolen unless you can give us the code.
A prepaid treatment series is a fixed number of sessions of a named service, bought together at a set price. The number of sessions and the period they stay valid for are shown when you buy, and unused sessions expire at the end of that period. A series is for the person it was bought for and is not transferable. Once the first session has been used, a series is non-refundable, though we will always talk to you if your circumstances change or if we recommend stopping a course for clinical reasons.
13. Using this site
Please do not scrape it, probe it for weaknesses, interfere with it, try to reach data that is not yours, make bookings you do not intend to keep, or use it to harass our staff or other clients. We may suspend access for any of these.
14. Reviews and anything you send us
If you leave a review or send us photographs, comments or suggestions, you are giving us permission to publish and edit them for length and clarity, with the first name and initial you gave us. Reviews must describe your own experience. We moderate them and may decline to publish, but we do not edit a review's substance to make it flattering.
15. Our content
The photography, written copy, service descriptions, protocols and design of this site belong to the studio or to the people we license them from. Please do not reproduce them for another business.
16. Services we depend on
We use outside services to take payments (Stripe), to send email and text messages, to sync calendars, and to fulfil part of our retail catalogue (the Rhonda Allison marketplace). Those companies have their own terms, which apply to their part of what happens. We are not responsible for their outages or their decisions, though we will always help you sort out anything that goes wrong through us.
17. What we do and do not promise
We work hard to keep this site accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and availability shown here can change between the moment you look and the moment you book.
We stand behind the work we do in the room. We do not promise a specific cosmetic outcome, because skin is individual and much of what determines the result happens outside the studio.
18. Limits on liability
Except where the law does not allow it, our total liability to you for any claim connected with a service, a product or this site is limited to the amount you paid us for the service or product the claim is about.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost earnings, missed events, or similar — arising from a cancelled, shortened or rescheduled appointment.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, for willful misconduct, for gross negligence, or for personal injury caused by our negligence. California law does not permit a business to contract out of those, and we are not attempting to.
19. If something goes wrong
Tell us first. Most problems are fixable in a conversation, and we would rather hear about it than not. Call the studio or use the contact page, and we will work with you for at least 30 days to resolve it directly.
If that does not settle it, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts of Fresno County, California. Nothing here stops either of us from bringing a claim in small claims court.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version is published with a version number and an effective date, both shown at the top of this page, and the previous versions are kept. Where a change materially affects you we will say so — by email or at your next booking — rather than relying on you to notice. Continuing to book or buy after a change means you accept the updated terms.
